Durante la guerra d’Algeria, il Partito Comunista Internazionalista maggioritario, la Federazione comunista libertaria e alcuni socialisti di sinistra conducono una comune lotta antimperialista all’interno dei comitati di difesa, prima centrata sulla figura di Messali Hadj e poi estesa a sindacalisti algerini. I trotskisti, inoltre, si uniscono agli anarcosindacalisti tramite Alexandre Hébert. Da un appello di attivisti sindacali e operai della regione di Nantes si costituisce un Comitato di Unità e di Azione per la Democrazia Operaia. Nel 1958, con il ritorno al potere del generale De Gaulle, un gruppo effimero, il Comitato d’Azione Rivoluzionaria, si costituisce per iniziativa di un comitato di coordinamento libertario e di alcuni trotskisti.

A l’époque de la guerre d’Algérie, le Parti Communiste Internationaliste majoritaire, la Fédération communiste libertaire et des socialistes de gauche mènent un combat commun anti-impérialiste au sein de comités de défense, d’abord centrés sur Messali Hadj avant de s’étendre aux syndicalistes algériens. Les trotskystes s’associent également avec des anarcho-syndicalistes par l’intermédiaire d’Alexandre Hébert. C’est ainsi qu’à partir d’un appel de militants ouvriers et syndicalistes de la région nantaise va être constitué un Comité de Liaison et d’Action pour la Démocratie Ouvrière. En 1958, avec le retour au pouvoir du général De Gaulle, un groupement éphémère, le Comité d’Action Révolutionnaire, est suscité par le Comité de coordination libertaire et les trotskystes.

At the time of the Algerian War, the Majority Internationalist Communist Party, the Communist Libertarian Federation and some left-wing Socialists led an anti-imperialistic common fight within defense committees, at first centered on Messali Hadj and then extended to the Algerian union activists. The Trotskyists also joined with anarcho-syndacalist union activists through Alexandre Hébert. From an appeal of labor and union activists of the region of Nantes a Committee for the Labor Democracy was established. In 1958, with the return to the power of De Gaulle, some Libertarians and Trotskyists created a short-lived group called the Revolutionary Action Committee.
